4. Proper tennis attire is required. No street, basketball or jogging shoes allowed. TENNIS SHOES ONLY. No bare feet allowed. No bathing suits.

5. No food or smoking permitted on courts; no glass containers allowed on courts.

6. Non-players must remain outside courts. Courts are reserved for tennis players only.

7. No pets will be allowed on courts and must be controlled in surrounding areas.

8. No bikes, skateboards, roller skates, etc. allowed on tennis courts.

9. Proper tennis etiquette should be observed at all times.

10. Special tennis club functions, including ALTA must be approved in advance by the Tennis Committee.

II. COURT RESERVATIONS

1. Sign up sheets will be posted on a weekly basis.

2. All courts are reserved courts (Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). No more than 4 total courts at a time may be reserved for ALTA matches.

3. The sign-up procedure is for a MAXIMUM 2 day advanced sign-up except for qualified scheduled weekly club functions (e.g., ALTA, organized clinics) e.g., on a Monday you can sign up for a court for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (2 days). PEOPLE WHO VIOLATE THIS RULE WILL LOSE THE COURT TIME THEY ERRONEOUSLY RESERVED. Repeated offenses will lead to stiffer measures being adopted. For unreserved weekend play on courts 5 and 6, members should sign up at start of play.

4. Default time on a reservation is ten minutes after scheduled time.

5. Play will be limited to 1 hour for singles and 1-1/2 hours for doubles.

6. Limit your prime time sign-up each week (evenings 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM and on weekends and holidays) to a maximum of 3 times.

7. Sign up before playing on courts. If your name does not appear on the sign up sheet, you can be bumped from the court.

8. Good sportsmanship dictates that reservations be kept.

9. Four or more members participating in an organized clinic taught by a teaching pro may block off courts. Four (4) people per court for 1 1/2 hour max (per week). Only 2 courts max may be blocked off at a time for this type of activity. People wanting to do this must gain prior approval from the Tennis Committee in advance before blocking off courts is allowed.

10. Courts may be reserved for club functions after approval by the Tennis Committee.

III. GUEST POLICY

1. Definition of a guest - a non-member who is not a local resident of a member subdivision (Spalding Corners, Chattahoochee Station, Springside at Neely, Peachtree Forest and Spalding Bluff).

2. All guests must be accompanied by a playing member.

3. Out of town and house guests are welcome anytime.

4. Residents in the areas where memberships are solicited who are not members cannot be guests. One exception is that a resident of a member subdivision may participate on an organized team for one season as a guest. If this player wishes to continue to participate they will be required to join the club. Their guest fee will then be credited toward their dues if less than one year has passed since guest participation.

5. Guest fees will be determined by the Tennis Committee (Currently $40 per person per season).

6. No more than three guests are allowed to participate on a club organized team such as ALTA or USTA. The club members on the team are to be given priority over guests towards participation in matches whenever the members are available.

IV. CLUB RULES REGARDING ORGANIZED TEAMS (ALTA & USTA)

1. The Tennis Committee must approve all tennis organizations, teams and use of courts.

2. Each approved organization must establish a set of published rules to determine membership in the organization so any Spalding Corners Swim & Tennis Club member who wishes to be involved can be involved.

A. The participants of each organization shall be members of the Spalding Corners Swim & Tennis Club.

3. These rules should be established by a committee consisting of one elected member from each team within the sponsoring organizations plus the appropriate league representative.

4. These rules shall be approved annually by the Tennis Committee.

5. Approved ALTA teams may block off 2 courts per team for scheduled matches. Each team is required to provide the sign up rep with a copy of their match schedule within 3 days of receipt.

6. Rainouts: We would ask that non-league members allow the teams court time to re-schedule rained out matches. It will be the responsibility of the team captains to call anyone signed up during that time to work it out.

7. Team captains or reps are responsible to see that tennis area and bathroom are clean after each match or practice.

8. Any conflicts regarding organized teams are encouraged to be brought before the Tennis Committee.

V. TENNIS ETIQUETTE

1. Wait until play has stopped before crossing behind players or retrieving a ball.

2. Avoid loud conversations, abusive language or other actions that will distract players.

3. Doubles are encouraged when an abundance of people are waiting for the courts.

4. Know and follow all tennis rules.

VI. MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITY

1. Each player should clean up the general area after they play.

2. Members are encouraged to give their ideas to the Tennis Committee.

3. Non-ALTA members who want to participate in ALTA should contact the respective ALTA representative on the Tennis Committee.

4. Stop or prevent any misuse, vandalism, or unsafe acts. Report violations of these rules, including the use of the facility by non-members, to the Tennis Committee.

VII. RENTAL OF TENNIS FACILITY

1. The sole intent of rental is to generate significant revenue without inconveniencing club members and without jeopardizing memberships; this requires a delicate balance. Therefore, each rental must be reviewed and approved by the Tennis Committee.

2. Approvals will be limited to times and dates that the courts are in low usage. Events with multiple dates (such as coaching, etc.) that include resident non-members are strictly prohibited.

3. Approvals and fees for each rental will take into consideration:

A. Number of members and non-members taking part

B. Number of courts and frequency of use.

C. Rental fees of other courts in the area.

D. Rates that are high enough to be fair to members and to discourage rental as an alternative to membership.

4. Requests for approval shall be submitted in writing, to the Tennis Committee using FORM V11 found below.

5. Approval shall require majority approval from the Tennis Committee members.

6. Copies of the approved form will be posted at the tennis courts and forwarded to the Board of Directors for information and monitoring. Violations, concerns, and suggestions should be forwarded to the Tennis Committee.
