The Spalding Corners Homeowner’s Association (SCHOA) is the voluntary association of the members homes of the possible 222 homes in the Spalding Corners subdivision.
The SCHOA was incorporated in 1981, as a Georgia Not-for-Profit Organization, about three years after Jim Cowart started the Spalding Corners Subdivision (in 1978). Of the eight Objectives in the SCHOA By-Laws, the first two Objectives are: (1) "To formulate, disseminate, and vigorously pursue a community program for betterment of the Spalding Corners Community;" and (2) "To insure that Spalding Corners is preserved principally for high quality residential use and thus retain its identity as an essential element of a well-planned metropolitan area." The primary undertaking of the SCHOA and its biggest expense is the maintenance of the entry islands, the signs, lights and marque's and the right of way along either side of Spalding Drive in relation to our neighborhood. In addition to that the SCHOA provides welcome baskets to new residents, organizes a neighborhood garage sale, a luminary event at Christmas, sponsors a Yard of the Month contest for its member homes during the summer months, helps maintain the web site, and every now and then we publish and mail a newsletter to all homeowners. The SCHOA is also a participating neighborhood in the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA). The United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA) is a not-for-profit group engaged in activities that support and improve the quality of life in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
